Shah Paran Thana

Shah Paran Thana (Sylhet metroplitan) area 63.56 sq km, located in between 24°51' and 24°57' north latitudes and in between 91°53' and 90°00' east longitudes. It is bounded by bimanbandar thana and jaintapur upazila on the north, dakshin surma thana and golaBganj upazila on the south, Jaintapur and Golapganj upazilas on the east and kotwali model thana on the west.

Population Total 99224; male 52611, female 46613; Muslim 90182, Hindu 8691, Buddhist 214, Christian 9 and others 128.
