Baghaichhari Upazila
Baghaichhari Upazila (rangamati district) area 1868.80 sq km, located in between 23°04' and 23°44' north latitudes and in between 92°05' and 92°24' east longitudes. It is bounded by Tripura and Mizoram (India) on the north, langadu and barkal upazilas on the south, Mizoram (India) on the east and dighinala upazila on the west.
Population Total 78519; male 42056, female 36463; Muslim 18310, Hindu 4316, Buddhist 1142, Christian 54717 and others 34.
Water bodies Main rivers: Kachalang, Shijakh; Ugalchhar beel and kaptai lake are notable.
Administration Baghaichhari Thana, now an upazila, was formed in 1965.'

Sanitation 9.74% (urban 22.26% and rural 6.85%) of dwelling households of the upazila use sanitary latrines and 83.05% (urban 76.73% and rural 84.51%) of dwelling households use non-sanitary latrines; 7.21% of households do not have latrine facilities.'
