Mango Research Station
Mango Research Station established at Nawabganj in 1985 under the Horticulture Division of the bangladesh agricultural research institute (BARI). The principal objective of the station is to promote research on all aspects of cultivation, varietal improvement, and production of mango, Mangifera indica. The station occupies an area of about 12.40 ha (30.6 acres) and has an orchard, laboratory, office and residential buildings. There are over 300 mango trees of about 65 cultivars. A Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) is the head of the station and is assisted by several scientific officers and technical staff.
