Silviculture

Silviculture a discipline of the forestry science, which deals with the genetics and seed production, establishment of nursery, plantation, management, development, and care and reproduction of timber trees. In fact, the term silviculture refers only to certain aspects of theory and practice of raising forest crops. The subject is currently taught at the Institute of Forestry and Environment, University of Chittagong and the Forest and Wood Technology Discipline, Khulna University. [Abul Khair]
