Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University

Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University a public university, established in 1979 for ensuring higher education and research, being named by Agricultural Extension Training Institute (AETI) at the outset, is located to 13 Km North of Dinjapur District Town. At that time, three-year-diploma course was offered to the students. In 1988, it was upgraded to Hajee Mohammad Danesh Agricultural College and assigned to a degree college. It was the first science and technology university in the Northern region of Bangladesh. Presently, 1500 (One thousand and five hundred) students are studying there amongst 1400 (One thousand and four hundred) students belong to Graduate level, 95 (Ninety five) students belonged to Post-Graduate and 05 (Five) belonged to Doctorate level.

Now the university is carrying out its academic pursuance consisted of 6 (Six) faculties and 39 (Thirty nine) departments. Students have been enrolled to the department of Agriculture, Computer Science and Engineering, Business Studies, Agro Forestry, Food Processing Engineering, Fisheries, Veterinary and Animal Science faculties under three units.
