Mirza, Qader Baksh (1891-1945) politician, legal practitioner. He was born in 1891 at village Mirzapur in Atwari thana Thakurgaon district. His father Uzir Ali Mustazir was a landlord. Qader Baksh completed his primary education from Mirzapur School. He passed entrance examination from Jalpaiguri Zila School and obtained BA (Hons) degree in English from Calcutta Presidency College in Kalkata. He then obtained MA and BL degree from calcutta university. He joined the Dinajpur district bar in 1916.

Mirza Qader Baksh was a member of the Bengal Legislative Assembly (1923-1929) and Bengal Legislative Council (1937-1945). He was the founding vice president of Khwaja Nazimuddin Muslim Hall and Library established on 18 February 1933 in Dinajpur. He was elected as president of Dinajpur district unit of Muslim League formed in early 1937 and continued in this position till his death. He was an influential member of Dinajpur District Board and was elected as the first Muslim vice chairman of Dinajpur Municipality in 1939. He was nominated as a member of Railway Board in 1938 and public prosecutor of Dinajpur district and 1940.

He died in October 1945 at Madhupur in the province of Bihar (Present Jharkhand) in India and was buried there. [Muhammad Maniruzzaman]
