Cauliflower is used as fresh or cooked [[Vegetable|vegetable]]; sometimes as an ingredient of pickles; it is rich in vitamin A, C and calcium. The acreage of cauliflower cultivation in Bangladesh is about 9,400 ha and the annual production amounts to about 73,000 m tons. Thirty days old seedlings are very suitable for transplanting in October-November, yield ranges 25-30 m tons/ha.&lt;br /&gt;

Three types of cauliflower are usually cultivated in Bangladesh. Early varieties are Kartica, Patnai, Tropical-55, etc. Mid-season varieties include Agrahani, Poushali and Snowball, and the late varieties are White Mountain, Maghi, and Rakhusi Late.
