Not much is known about his personal life. He wrote a few sketch-type booklets such as ''K''''a''''shite Hay Bhumikampa-N''''a''''r''''i''''der Eki Dambha'' (1863), ''Dui Sat''''i''''ner Jhag''''da'' (1867''), Bang''''a''''nye Shiy''''a''''l R''''a''''j''''a'' (1867), ''Manohar Fens''''da'' (1867), ''Kalir Bau H''''ad''''-Jv''''a''''l''''a''''n''''i'' (1868) etc in a mixture of prose and verse. Through these books he tried to portray the absence of principles in both family life and society. The brief dialogues spoken by his various characters are often very funny.
