Sometimes radish is used as an ingredient of pickles. Commonly, radish is a winter crop but can be grown to some extent in summer. Red Bombay, Mino Early, Mino Saki are some of the important varieties. Recently Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute released 3 varieties namely Tasakisan (long white root), Pinky (pinksih root with more pungent), and Druti (white coloured and early maturing).
