The translation has all the eighteen sections of the original Mahabharata, in addition to three sub-sections, including the &#039;battle of Draupadi&#039;. Sanjay has taken the story from a bard named Ramadasa. The work describes four principal pursuits of life: religion, money, sex and salvation.<br /> <br /> Sanjay began his work with an introduction to the Chandra dynasty and ended with Yudhisthira&#039;s ascension to heaven. The Savjaya Mahabharata was popular during the medieval period because of its story, lucidity and flow of the narrative, metaphors, similes etc. The work is influenced by the Kavindra Mahabharata.
