Sharachchandra played an active part in the compilation of the ''Tibetan-Sanskrit-English Dictionary'', a project carried out under government initiative. Ganesh Chandra Chanda, attorney of Calcutta at that period, and different scholars, including Thakurdas Bandyopadhyay, learnt Sanskrit from him.
