Bayazid Karrani
Bayazid Karrani third ruler of the Karrani dynasty of Bengal, ascended the throne after the death of his father sulaiman karrani in October 1572, threw off his allegiance to the Mughals and assumed independence. He read the Khutbah and issued coins in his own name.
Bayazid Karrani ruled Bengal only for a few months. His cousin and brother-in-law Hansu killed him and seized power. But soon Ludi Khan, the faithful Wazir of Sulaiman Karrani and other trusted nobles opposed Hansu and killed him. Then they installed Bayazid Karrani's younger brother daud khan karrani on the throne. [ABM Shamsuddin Ahmed]
