The Centre is financed by DU and is directed by a 21-member management committee headed by the Vice-Chancellor of DU as its Chairperson. Other members of the council are: Deans of the faculties of Sciences, Social Sciences and Biological Sciences of the university; Chairman of the Department of Geography and Environment; nine academic staff nominated by the academic committee of the Department of Geography and Environment; Director, Institute of Business Administration; one academic staff from the Department of Geography and Environment of [[Jahangirnagar University|jahangirnagar university]]; Chairman of [[sparrso]]; Director Generals of the directorates of Meteorology, Environment and [[Disaster Management Bureau|disaster management bureau]]. Besides, a research officer and a part time computer operator are also engaged in this Centre.
