Samaj Sammilani Sabha
'Samaj Sammilani Sabha' the first Muslim organisation in Dhaka established in 1879 by ubaidullah al ubaidi suhrawardy, the first superintendent of dhaka madrasaH. Ubaidullah was a member of the central national muhamedan association (1878) established by syed ameer ali, who inspired Ubaidullah to establish the organisation. Nawab khwaja ahsanullah of Dhaka donated three hundred taka to the organisation.
Sessions of the sabha were held at Purbabanga O Bangabhumi House. In a session held on 25 August 1880 a Hindu and a Muslim scholar delivered speeches on the necessity of communal harmony.
