Burikhora-Chiki River

Burikhora-Chiki River originated from the low lying marshland at domar upazila in nilphamari district. The river joined with the Deonai-Charal river near Badarganj railway station after following a 48 km meander course. The river is poorly navigable and free from tidal influence.

The flow of the river reaches at its peak from August to October and becomes dry from February to May. Maximum recorded discharge is 2,370 cusec. [Sultana Nasrin Baby]
