Airport Thana
Airport Thana (Barisal Metropolitan) area 127.40 sq km, located in between 22'44' and 22'48' north latitudes and in between 90'16' and 90'20' east longitudes. It is bounded by babuganj upazila on the north, kotwali thana on the south, kaunia thana on the east and jhalokati sadar and Babuganj upazilas on the west.
Population Total 166870; male 86182, female 80688; Muslim 152069, Hindu 13880, Buddhist 800, Christian 85 and others 36.
Administration Airport thana was formed on June 2010 comprising 4 wards of Barisal Sadar upazila and Rahmatpur, Madhabpasha and Chandpash unions of Babuganj upazila and Kashipur, Roypasha Karapur unions of Barisal Sadar upazila.
